Rethinking Architecture
"In view of the fundamental and rapid changes facing our world, it is no longer enough to focus on the design of buildings. Instead we must ask ourselves: what does a building – a city – do for the environment, society and the well-being of people? Innovation has many aspects – technical, creative, and societal. We as HPP want to develop innovative answers to the questions of tomorrow."
"We see a world beset by multiple crises as seldom before, which are obvious to everyone and whose consequences will have a major impact on our constructed environment. Climate change, the growing shortage of resources, and declining biodiversity are issues we can no longer ignore. This knowledge affects us and drives us to rethink architecture. Concepts developed as kneejerk reactions must give way to innovative concepts. The rapidly developing digitalisation will support us here. It will change architecture and urban planning in completely new ways and affect all aspects of our communities."
